Viral Social Meme - 'It's coming home' 

 

During the summer of 2018, England was gripped with World Cup Fever. Whether it was 'coming home' had once again become the talk of a nation. Off the back of this, I created a lighthearted image of Gareth Southgate leaving IKEA with a trophy cabinet to share with friends, ahead of England's quarter-finals game against Sweden.​

The post quickly gained traction across social media platforms, boosted by sports and tv personalities. It was eventually picked up by leading social channels, national press and international football forums.​ This wasn't an official collaboration with IKEA, although they did respond in good humour on Twitter at the time.
